Our guide will pick you up at the Riad to show you the most interesting places and sites in Marrakech, such as the Bahia Palace, the Medersa Ben Youssef, and a tour around the souks and the square. If you wish to visit the Majorelle Garden, please book your tickets online in advance for the morning around 9 or 10 to avoid crowds. You can start your Marrakech tour from the Majorelle Garden. Overnight stay in the Riad with breakfast included.
Your driver will pick you up from your Riad at 8:30 am to start the desert tour. You will cross the High Atlas mountains, with a few stops for photos and panoramic views. Later, you will reach the Ounila Valley with its beautiful landscape and views. You will then visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and stop to visit the cinema village. Afterward, you can stop in Ouarzazate to visit the film studios if you wish. In the late afternoon, you will pass through the village of Agdz to reach your Kasbah hotel, where you will spend the night. Dinner and breakfast included.
After breakfast, depart towards the south. You will pass through a succession of Kasbahs and palm groves, reaching Zagora and continuing to Tamegroute, a village on the edge of the desert with its "underground" Kasbah and Koranic library. Travel to the village of M'Hamid and then enter the desert. Crossing various desert landscapes, including the Reg and the Hamada, you will arrive at Erg Chegaga, an area with sand dunes up to 300m high, where the tented camp is located. Enjoy free time to walk among the dunes and enjoy the silence and infinity. After sunset, spend the evening in a magical atmosphere among the scents and flavors of a delicious Moroccan dinner. Dinner and overnight stay in the tented camp. Berber camp.
Spend the morning in and around the dunes. Around midday, tackle the dunes and cross dry Lake Iriki. Have tea with nomads, collect fossils, and admire the mirage of Fata Morgana before tackling rocks and gravel and reaching the asphalt at Foum Zguid. Spend the afternoon by the pool. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
Depart from Foum Zguid and follow the solitary road that leads to Tata, flanked by semi-deserted landscapes, a sort of Moroccan Route 66, running parallel to the Djebel Bani crest. Later, stop at Ait Kine to visit the centuries-old granary, where locals still store their grains. Then, tackle the spectacular Tagemoult Valley, making your way into the Anti Atlas Mountains and finally reaching 1800 meters in Ighrem. In the afternoon, descend onto the Taroudant plain, majestically dominated by the peaks of the High Atlas at over 4000 meters above sea level. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Essaouira. Leaving the fertile plain of Taroudant, you will travel towards the ocean. After passing Agadir, the road continues surrounded by argan trees. This plant is present only in Morocco, and its fruits produce an oil with multiple healing and aesthetic properties. Sometimes, soft sand dunes flow into the ocean. Arrive in Essaouira and start exploring the city. At sunset, in the square located between the port and the walls, you can participate in the daily life of the locals who, in an atmosphere of times gone by, relax in the late afternoon air. Overnight stay in a Riad with breakfast included. Riad Dar L'oussia or similar.
After breakfast, you will have time to visit the medina of Essaouira, a UNESCO heritage site, surrounded by high walls worn by salt and wind. The city was equipped by the Portuguese in the 16th century with a real fortress with bastions set in the rocks beaten by the ocean waves. In the afternoon, depart for Marrakech. Leaving the ocean behind, you will travel towards the hills surrounding Essaouira. The landscape and vegetation transform as you move away from the coast: the argan trees give way to vineyards and olive groves, and along the road, you come across small urban settlements where trade takes place. Arrive at Marrakech airport in the afternoon, 3 hours before your flight departure.
