After breakfast, begin exploring Fes with a local guide. Visit the Royal Palace Gate, the old town (Medina), which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour the Bou Inania and Al-Attarine madrasas, which date back to the 14th century, as well as the Najjarine Fountain, the tanneries, and the Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, considered the oldest university in the world. Visit the old Jewish quarter of Fes, known as "La Mellah," including the Jewish cemetery and the Ibn Danan Synagogue, and learn about the Jewish community's history in Morocco. End the day by watching the sunset from Borj Nord, a fortress offering stunning panoramic views. Return to the riad for an overnight stay. Breakfast included; dinner on your own.
